It reaches out to all who care, it is too late to mourn

You did not know that I exist, you died and I was born

Yet each of us are cells of you, in flesh, in blood, in bone.

Our blood contracts and beats a pulse entirely not our own

Dear Ancestor, 

The place you filled one hundred years ago

Spreads out amongst the ones you left who would have loved you so,

I wonder if you lived and loved, I wonder if you knew

That someday I would find this spot, and come to visit you.

ABOUT ME

I am a native of Freeland Oxfordshire but spent my teens in London, I am an under-graduate of The Open University, retired from military logistics after 32 years, a genealogist for 40+ years and currently Pathwarden Records Administrator (volunteer) in East Lothian Scotland, the membership secretary of The Clan MacLaren Society and a family man. 

My wife (Lorna ) and I have one daughter (Hannah), a graduate of The University of St Andrews in Scotland and an undergraduate of Academy of Art University in  San Francisco, CA USA

Rusty is our dog he's a ten year old Staffordshire Bull Terrier Cross, He loves just about everyone, especially the girls but can be a bit intimidating when he launches himself at you like an express train.
